This site offers a wealth of information regarding ear protection, especially for musicians. Follow site links to musician-specific products. The "ER" products mentioned on the site reduce volume levels while maintaining timbral and pitch relationships...only the volume level is reduced! If you're having problems in this area, or want to forestall such problems, this site is worth investigating.
